Women are the pillars of our society, and they have been celebrated, worshipped, nurtured in every culture across the globe. In India most of our Goddesses are in feminine form- Durga, Kalika, Lakshmi, Saraswati and more. Even Lord Shiva amalgamates with Shakti and gives birth to the form of Ardhanarishvara.
On March 8, 1908, 15,000 women marched in New York for better pay, the right to vote, and safe working conditions. This was the start of International Women’s Day. Clara Zetkin, a German activist, came up with the idea of a world Women’s Day in 1910. It was first celebrated officially in Europe in 1911. It was recognised by the UN in 1975, and it is now a global movement for equal rights for men and women and for women’s development.

Our day started with our HR team welcoming every woman employee at the entrance of our office with a bunch of roses and a goodie bag. Women dressed in beautiful ethnic wear like sarees, lehengas, churidar kurtas kept entering the premises with a constant smile on their faces.
When they reached their workstations, they found a beautiful note stuck to their workstations mentioning – “You are our strength, our inspiration, and the heart of our success. Thank you for your invaluable contributions!” – NBR Family.
A Sweet Start: Cake Cutting Ceremony
यत्र नार्यस्तु पूज्यन्ते रमन्ते तत्र देवताः ।

Our scriptures have respected women throughout our cultures. From our Goddesses in Satya Yuga to Mata Sita in Treta Yuga, Ma Yashoda, Radha, Draupadi and more in Dwapar Yuga – all were pillars of strength and grace, shaping history with their resilience, wisdom, and unwavering devotion.
On this auspicious day, the management warmly appreciated the dedication and contributions of its women employees. They appreciated their hard work and resilience that continue to inspire growth and success.
A symbolic cake-cutting ceremony added sweetness to the celebration. It marked a heartfelt tribute to the incredible women of NBR.
A Feast to Remember: Lunch and Snacks Party
No celebration is complete without sumptuous food. We organised a potluck and all the employees including the male employees got wonderful dishes from home.
